Tapas Peshin – Communication Chair

Tapas Peshin

Hey, I am Tapas! I am presently a Graduate Student in Department of Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. I am currently doing my research under the guidance of Professor Nikolaos Sahinidis on Crude Oil Price Forecasting in the area of Process Systems Engineering. The project involves machine learning and optimization concepts to come up with an accurate Crude Oil Price Forecasting Model. I am working as the Communications Chair in CHEMSA. If you want any information to be out there, you can be rest assured that it will reach out to everyone in a fast and timely manner. Originally, a Kashmiri, I was born in Mumbai, brought up in Delhi and did my undergrad from Chandigarh, so I prefer being called an Indian as I don’t exactly belong from anywhere. I am passionate about travelling, reading, politics and sports.
